With all the differences couples have in terms of personality, background, ideology, etc., it's wonderful that healthy relationships exist at all! But relationships in which both partners maintain their individuality and still share a deep passionate connection are entirely possible when couples learn to communicate and avoid common pitfalls. It is fairly common for one or both of you to be skeptical that the process will help or that your therapist will be impartial. I strive to be non-judgmental and constructive and to make every effort to understand the problem from both sides.
